Class Rules

We respect each other.

Be on time to class.

When you enter the studio (gym or room 11) instead of hanging out and waiting for the teacher to start class, it is tradition that dancers begin preparing themselves for class - this can include focusing and mental preparation, breathing, stretching and loosening up particular areas of your own body that feel tight or need relaxing.

Take responsibility for your actions. Be prepared to attend rehearsals.

Have your assignments ready on time for class presentation.

Support each other. Do not laugh at other people's efforts.

Enjoy each other.

Ask appropriate and topic related questions.

Do not interrupt other speakers. (Raise hand if urgent, or jot down thought to hold your question or comment.)

Share your thoughts with class. (Do not whisper in front of other people.)

Do not talk about people behind their back.

Do not leave the studio/gym without permission. You must sign out in book (name, time out & in, place).

When the class is over, it is tradition to give yourself, your classmates and your teacher applause for a job well done.

Put away all equipment you used during class in its correct location.

At the end of class after changing in the locker room, return to studio/gym or wait in the locker room for the bell to dismiss class.

Communicate with your teacher; Keep them informed; Do not assume they know your questions and needs without telling them.
